USDT-TRC20 Integration
Accept stablecoin payments via USDT on the TRON network. Low fees (~$0.50 per tx), fast confirmations (~3 seconds), and no volatility risk.
How it works
- Create a PaymentIntent with
rail: "usdt_trc20" - YnoPay assigns a unique TRON address (or memo) for the payment
- Customer sends USDT to the provided address
- YnoPay watches TronGrid for incoming TRC-20 transfers
- Once confirmed,
payment_intent.succeededfires
Example
const pi = await ynopay.paymentIntents.create({
amount: 25, // 25 USDT
currency: 'USDT',
rail: 'usdt_trc20',
metadata: { invoice: 'INV-100' },
});Merchant setup
Provide your TRON address in the YnoPay dashboard under Settings → Crypto Wallets. YnoPay will use this address for receiving USDT payments.
Why TRC-20?
| Network | Fee | Speed |
|---|---|---|
| TRON (TRC-20) | ~$0.50 | ~3 seconds |
| Ethereum (ERC-20) | $5–50 | ~15 seconds |
| BSC (BEP-20) | ~$0.10 | ~3 seconds |
TRC-20 offers the best balance of cost, speed, and liquidity for West African merchants where USDT-TRC20 is the dominant stablecoin standard on P2P markets.
Settlement
Merchants keep USDT in their own wallet. Optional FCFA conversion is available via integrated partners (Yellow Card, Bitnob P2P).
